*2008 & 2022 Industry awards, Process, and Disclosure:
About Financial Advisor Magazine:
Financial Advisor Magazine (“FA”) delivers essential market information and strategies that advisors need to succeed in their increasingly complex environment. FA focuses on sophisticated planning and investment strategies to help advisors better serve their affluent clients, as well as practice management ideas to help advisors build their firms. FA goes in-depth to challenge traditional planning wisdom by introducing readers to new approaches to help them better counsel clients. FA Magazine created these awards, and both awards were given in August of 2022. IPI does not pay a fee to FA in exchange for inclusion or use of the above rankings.
Process and Disclosure:
To define the Top 50 Fastest Growing Firms, FA Magazine ranked firms by the percentage growth in assets between 2020 and 2021, using the firm’s year end 2021 asset total.
To rank firms in FA’s RIA Survey & Ranking 2022, FA Magazine ranked firms by their year-end 2021 assets.
FA’s RIA survey is a ranking based on assets under management at year end of independent RIA firms that file their own ADV with the SEC. FA’s RIA ranking orders firms from largest to smallest, based on AUM reported on the advisors and verified by review of advisor’s ADV forms. To be eligible for the ranking, firms must be independent registered investment advisors and file their own ADV statement with the SEC and provide financial planning and related services to individual clients. Firms must have at least $500 million in assets under management as of December 31, 2022, to be included in the print edition of Financial Advisor magazine’s 2023 RIA survey. Financial Advisor’s ranking comes at no cost to IPI.
Third-party rankings and recognition from rating services or publications are no guarantee of future investment success. Working with a highly rated advisor does not ensure that a client or prospective client will experience a higher level of performance or results. These ratings should not be construed as an endorsement of the advisor or by any client nor are they representative of any one client’s evaluation. Generally, ratings, rankings, and recognition are based on information prepared and submitted by the advisor.
